As Eeyore would say… 17

Thanks for noticing me.   It was so nice to wake up this morning to find that I am a Featured Blogger of the Week.

I was starting to whine about not getting many comments lately to my husband. It kind of made me glad that I have StatCounter though.  Even when it felt like no one was reading, I could check my StatCounter and see that people were coming, just not commenting… and that's ok.  I'm not a big tech whiz or anything, but I really like having the StatCounter.  If I got it on my blog, you can too!  It tells you how many people are coming daily, what pages they are reading, where they are from (very interesting) and how they got to your page (search engine, other website, etc…).  Here's the website if you want one for your blog.

I'm pretty excited about getting the homemade soap and newsletter from Susan. I really like homemade soap and just used my last bar that I bought at a fall craft show.  Homemade soap is so much less drying and I love not having as many chemicals on my skin!

I think it's neat that they highlighted If You Give A Family A Farm .  That was so much fun to write and my son, Jake, really wants me to make it into a book for him.  I am so blessed with an encouraging husband and sons.

But I guess the best thing about all of this is how God heard my prayers and my heart and used HomeSchoolBlogger to remind me that He hears my prayers and shows me that He loves me.  I never would have dreamed about 4 months ago, when I wasn't even sure what a blog was, that HomeSchoolBlogger would be such a blessing to me.  I treasure the friendships that I've made over here, as well as the encouragement that I get from reading other blogs.

Thank you Lord for this great group of bloggers and for showing this little Eeyore that you notice me.

I love visiting you….even if I don’t always leave comments! You’re gonna love Susan’s soap. I ordered a little sample pack a few months ago, and just recently ordered 4 more full size bars. It is WONDERFUL….you lucky dog! Eleanor

Oh it is so much fun to be in on God’s little miracles and answered prayers. I thought your post was great. I think your son is right you should make it into a book! Enjoy the soap and the extra publicity you deserve it.

    Blessings,

Congratulations on your win! I read you weblog all the time but do not always comment. It’s nice of you to include that site. I’ve got it on mine now so I’ll see if I can get it to work. Lots of love.

Yes we noticed you. I wonder…if we pull up entries using our “Friends” button does the page still show as a stat? That is how I keep up with everyone’s blog…just hit the “Friends” link button and everyone’ s comes up. I will go to each blog if it changes stats though. Do you know how it works?

Hi, I was reading your comment on “Journeyof7″ Homeschool blogger site. Sorry, I don’t remember her homeschool blogger name just her Xanga name. (Journeyof7 is her Xanga blog name.)

We have a Golden Retriever and we live out in the country. We really wanted a friendly dog. She has been wonderful. The great news is…she won’t stop barking when strangers come up to the house. So, when sales people show up. I just let her sit next to me and bark and bark and bark.

Almost everyone that has come to our house is afraid of her…because of her bark. She has also done some really neat stuff about protecting the children. They are great with kids. She keeps between our littlest ones and any dogs that happen into the yard. It’s really cool to watch this!

She got right under one of our children when he fell of the stairs. So, he landed on his soft doggie.

Just a plug for a nice dog that still keeps strangers at bay.

Good luck picking the right dog for your family. It’s so much fun! Oh, and somewhere on the web is a site that helps you select the dog that will fit your family’s style. Hmmm…Do you know how to do a “google” search? I can’t remember the name of the site. But if you googled something like…selecting the right dog…or choosing the right dog…you might be able to find a site that lets you answer questions and then it gives you the breeds that match your family. We used it and really enjoyed it.

just got your note on a past entry about aspergers a your freind with a 7 yr old aspie. You can give her my email address and tell her to put TOS in the subject line, so I don’t delete it, LOL. I’d be happy to talk to her. (when mine melt down that much to not work, there is no sense having them work, so we play, do therapy, go for a walk, etc…..
